V&A Arts Award workshops

We ran a workshop at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, for children with learning disabilities, working towards an Arts Award. The workshops was based around the subject of World War One. I based the workshop on work by artist Edward Wadsworth, the designer of Dazzle Camouflage.
Each student had there own screen to print with and created designs on it using tape. I supplied a wide range of colours to choose from as well as some letterpress type blocks and ink rollers. Each student went away with at least 5 prints to put into there sketch books which they continued to work on by hand after the workshop.
